Sneakers aren't just for the gym anymore. Enter wedge sneakers. Lately, they've been given a lift and have become staples in some women's wardrobes. They can be added to both edgy outfits and girly outfits, and they're probably a bit more comfortable than your usual wedge or heel because of the padding.
It's a trend that's becoming popular around the world as you can see from the above pictures taken from Lookbook.nu. Celebrities are loving the trend too, especially Victoria's Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio. Below, she was spotted three different times wearing these heightening sneakers.
In my opinion, I would like to leave them. They aren't exactly my favorite trend right now, and they definitely aren't a good look for me. I just can't seem to make myself wear boyish looking sneakers with a cute outfit, even if they do have a wedge in them. Maybe I'll come around to it eventually...but probably not.
What do you think about wedge sneakers? Love it or Leave it?

Love it ;)
ReplyDeleteI only really love the Isabel Marant ones!
ReplyDelete(and only those with the big puffy tongue! and maybe the little cute ones like the white ones Ambrosio wears)
Because they seem more like a sneaker.
All the other ones are a no for me!
They seem too.. weird?! Like the all star kind of shoes with heels!
I wouldn't wear those, never!

I just had the same debate (love or leave wedge sneakers) on my blog!
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of the trend. When they first started to become popular I thought they were awful. Now that they've been around for awhile and have more styles available I'm more okay for them. They are NOT for me - I'm not much of a sneaker/running shoe person anyway, but I'm okay with them on other people - I don't cringe anymore!

I'm really not that into it. If I'm going to wear sneakers, they should be comfortable enough to run in.
ReplyDeleteI'll seriously leave it! It's really not me..
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment, I'm now following you darling.

Definitely LOVE IT. I have my own pair that I always like to wear - they're casual but help elongate my legs a little. Stylish and comfortable!
